Enterprise Value [EV]

Enterprise value is a financial metric representing the entire value of a company after taking into account both holders of debt and equity. The enterprise value is calculated as the company’s market capitalization plus long-term debt minus cash and short-term investments. Intended to represent the total cost an acquirer would pay to take over a business.
